In Trångsund, property company Huge Bostäder faced a challenge with a newly erected 125-meter-long and 8-meter-high wall along the railway tracks. Initially constructed as a necessary infrastructure measure, the wall was seen as a dull, uninspiring barrier by both the property owners and the local community. Seeking to transform the space into something visually engaging and meaningful, Huge Bostäder reached out to The Artitects for a creative solution.
The Artitects conducted interviews and workshops with local residents and youth groups to gather input, stories, and ideas about what they wanted the mural to represent.
Based on the community input, Mikael Rickman designed a large-scale mural that visually reflected the history, culture, and aspirations of the neighborhood.
The mural was executed over a 15-day period with a team of artists, including Katarina Komendant, Robbin Carlsson, Rikard Johansson, and Daniela Ramirez, bringing the vision to life.
